I first encountered Adam Grant, the youngest tenured professor at Wharton and a leading authority in organizational psychology, as a college freshman through his book Originals. His audacious perspective on socio-economics was enough to shatter conventional thinking.

In Think Again, as if to prove why such an impression was inevitable, he elaborates on ‘the pinnacle of creative thinking’ and practical steps for ‘better decision-making’. Additionally, the book gains significance by suggesting practical ways to apply the psychological dynamics from Daniel Kahneman’s Nobel Prize-winning work in Thinking, Fast and Slow to individual daily life and evolving corporate cultures.

Anticipating reading Option B and Give and Take, published between the two works, these books are not only guides to ‘rethinking’ but also masterpieces that delicately portray who he is.

To implement the insights gained from this book in life, one must ‘think like jazz.’ Ultimately, it’s about dancing flexibly between beats and off-beats in the mind.
